Jimmy and Neutron Engine
Jimmy is the assistant in StudiOn. Underneath is Neutron Engine, built from scratch for Apple silicon on the architecture of a game engine: an entity component system, a work-graph scheduler and Metal 4, with no legacy code paths. A game engine for AI. Today the engine runs Jimmy’s conversations, documents, retrieval, context and tasks. Next, the rest of the heavy work moves inside it, so StudiOn uses your Mac the way a game does.
- Models become swappable parts. The engine loads them, schedules them and swaps them, so a better model drops straight in.
- One memory budget. CPU and GPU share one pool of memory, and models stream in and out the way games stream textures.
- The right core for the job. Background work goes to the efficiency cores, and the answer you’re waiting on goes to the performance cores.
- The same engine is built to power other NeutronTech apps, each with its own identity and rules.
